Southbank Centre

Our six shortlisted authors, David Crane, William Dalrymple, Dave Goulson, Charlotte Higgins, Lucy Hughes-Hallett and Charles Moore, will be speaking at the Southbank Centre in a special event on the evening of 3 November, the eve of the winner announcement. This will be a unique chance to hear the authors talk about their books, which cover themes as diverse as the building of the great First World War cemeteries, a history of the first Afghan War, an account of the importance of bees, the tale of a journey by camper van to discover the meaning of Roman Britain, and biographies of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and poet Gabriele D’Annunzio. Chaired by Tom Sutcliffe, this is a must go to event for non-fiction lovers, find out more here.
